Temora boasts a splendid streetscape of Edwardian and Federation architecture, including substantial churches and impressive commercial and civic structures dating from its days as a gold rush town, which began in 1879.

The town’s history is also on show at the Temora Rural Museum, while the Temora Aviation Museum provides an insight into Australia’s aviation history.

Located around 420km from Sydney, Temora offers a selection of accommodation options. The picturesque scenery at Lake Centenary is perfect for a picnic and the lake itself is also popular with water sports enthusiasts.

Another of the town’s impressive churches, St Andrew’s was dedicated in 1933. The original church (1882) is today in use as the church hall.
